TREN-200 is a long acting trenbolone.To increase its effective half-life,trenbolone is not used in an unrefined form, but is rather administered astrenbolone acetate ,enanthate or Hexahydrobenzylcarbonate. Trenbolone is thenproduced as a metabolite by the reaction of these compounds with the androgenreceptor. Bodybuilders have been known to use the drug in order to increasebody mass more effectively than by weight training alone. Due to the relativelylong metabolic half-life of trenbolone enanthate dosages should be once a week.Trenbolone acetate injections are commonly split into at least once every twodays.
Trenbolone compounds have a binding affinity forthe androgen receptor three times as high as that of testosterone. Oncemetabolised, the drugs have the effect of increasing nitrogen uptake bymuscles, leading to an increase in the rate of protein synthesis. It also hasthe secondary effects of stimulating appetite, reducing the amount of fat beingdeposited in the body, and decreasing the rate of catabolism. Trenbolone hasproven popular with anabolic steroid users as it is not metabolised byaromatase or 5α-reductase into estrogenic compounds such as estradiol, or into DHT.This means that it also does not cause any water retention normally associatedwith highly androgenic steroidal compounds like testosterone ormethandrostenolone. It is also loved by many for the dramatic strengthincreases commonly experienced with it. Some short-term side effects includeinsomnia, high blood pressure, increased aggression and libido. The origin of this myth most likely has to do with therust colored oxidized metabolites of trenbolone which are excreted in urine andoften mistaken for blood. After Schänzer (Clin Chem 1996; 42(7): 1001-1020,Metabolism of anabolic androgenic steroids) trenbolone and 17epi-trenbolone areboth excreted (in urine) as conjugates that can be hydrolyzed withbeta-glucuronidase. This implies that trenbolone leaves the body asbeta-glucuronides or sulfates, that means mostly non metabolized.
